WELLINGTO-N, March 5. The Court of Inquiry into the loss of the Hauraki found that no blame attached to anyone on board.

NELSON, March 5. The Hon. Major Eichuaond, C.8., died this morning in his 80th year, after a long and lingering illness. He was the oldest member of the Legislative Council and took a prominpnt part in the administration of the Government in the Cook Strait settlements, after tlie Wairau massacre. He was a resident in Nelson over 30 years, and was Superintendent prior to the Constitution.
