By Telegraph. — Reoter's Copyright. MELBOURNE, January '22. The passengers have been released from quarantine station a week to-day. ADELAIDE, January 22. News from Mauritius states that before leaving, Sir Hercules Robinson, who went to Mauritius to hold an inquiry into the disagreement between Governor Sir J, Pope Hennessey and Mr. Clifford Lloyd, received a commission of appointment as Governor of Mauritius, thereby enabling him to supersede Sir J. P. Hennessey. Sir Hercules Robinson left Mauritius on the 18th instant, having appointed General Harobyes administrator. Francis Round, Colonial Secretary, will remain at the Mauritius for the present.
There is every probability of Chaffey Brothers undertaking an expensive irrigation scheme for South Australia.
SYDNEY, January 23.

In the intercolonial yacht race yesterday on the inside course, Waitaugi beat Janet and. Magic by her time allowance.
Another death from small-pox has occurred at the quarantine station.

Rev. Doctor Gibuey was consecrated Bishop ot Perth to day by Cardinal Moran, who met with a splendid reception.
