We are indebted to Mr. Martin, registrar of birtbs, deaths, and marriages, for the following information : — The births in tbe borough were 29 males, 24 females ; oatside borongh, 46 maleß,,B6_ females ; total for district, 135 ; increase over previous year, 13, notwithstanding the fact that tbe district has been reduced m size one-tbir«l since November last, owing to the consti* tution of tbe Stratford registration district. Deaths in borough, 4 males, 3 females; outside borough, 7 males, 1 female ; total for district, ll ;' decrease, as compared with previous year, 16 ; classification of cause of death : constitutional diseases, 3; local diseases, 3 ; developmental, 2 ; violence, 3 ; ill-defined and not specified, 4 ; of tbe deaths, 5 were,- ohildreDrr^nder six months; four inquests were held during tbe year. Marriages in borough, 5 ; outside borough, 10 ; total tor district, 15 ; decrease, compared with previous year, 10 ; average ages- ,ofj contracting parties: males, 33; females, 247^celebrants: Church of England, 5; Presbyterian, 4; Roman Catholic, 2; Wesley an, 1 ; registrar, 3.
