St. Joseph's School, Hawera.

This school broke up on Friday, the 16tb, for the Christmas vacation, and the occasion was commemorated fay a concert m the schoolroom. Otvio^, we are informed, to some misunderstanding, an invitation did not reach us, ami therefore we aiecotablfe to give a complete report of ihe proceedings. We understand that every thing passed off most successfully and pleasantly. The manner in which the various pieces were given wns highly creditable alike to the teaching powers of the sisters and the abilities of the scholars. Where all did so well it is not pleasant to particularise, but we are inlormed that Miss Flynn's song, " T)ie flower #irl." was especially worthy ot prui&e.
