Acceptances close at Albion Hotel, Patea, on Saturday, 6th November, at 9 p.m. RULES. 1. No entry will be received for any race except upon this condition. That all disputes, claims, and objections arising out of tbe racing, shall be decided by a majority of the Stewards present, or those whom they may appoint. Their decision upon all points connected with the carrying out of the programme shall be final. 2. All entries to be sealed and addressed to the Hon. Secretary, Patea, entrance money enclosed, with the name, age at lime of entry, pedigree, and, in cane of handicaps, performances of the horse, name of owner, and colours of the rider. 3. Any jockey riding except in the colours entered will be fined 2 boys. 4. When two or more horses Btart, tbe property of the same owner, a distinguishing colour must be worn. 5. All persons intending to withdraw horses, are required to give notice to that effect, to tbe Secretary or Clerk of tbe Scales at least one half hour before starting. Any peraon neglecting or refusing to comply with this rule shall pay a fine of 5 »otb. to the race fund. 6. All races to be run under the Taranaki Jockey Club Rules. 7. Horses walking over will only receive half the stakes. 8. All entries and nominations must be in the hands of the Secretary at tbe itated time and place, accompanied by the amount of nomination, and entrance money. Post marks will not be received under any pretence whatever, and nominations unpaid at the time of the due date of weights, will be struck off the list. 9. £5 per cent will be deducted from ■11 winnings.
