ROTORUA, July 30.

Mr. It. M. Cotton, of Lake Coleridge, Canterbury, who, with bis wife, arrived here yestevd&y afternoon, and pnfc np at the Palace Hotel, has been missing since 5 o'clock last night. Diligent and efficient search was kept up all night, but not the least trace can be found him. To-day search parties are being organised, rewards offered, and every possible means are being used, and % number of natives are now searching. It appears that after Cotton came oat of the Blue Bath, he retnrned to the upper town and went into Mrs. Morrison's hotel, and then instead of going on to his own hotel he wound his way down to Brent's boarding house, from where he was directed back to the Palace Hotel. This was the last seen of him.
