Treasurer and Secretary (interim). Mr. E. G. Allsworth. This company is formed for the purpose of manufacturing cheese or butter and curing bacon on tbe factory system. The provisional directors are of opinion that little need be said of the advantages of local industries in general and dairy factories in particular to prove that there is an opening, and that there are few districts I that offer the same inducements and the same prospects of success as the district around Manaia. The experience of those in districts in which factories hive been started, and the success that has attended the factory established in a neighboring district, a district not possessed of advantages equal to this, is sufficient in the opinion of the directors to warrant them in taking Bteps to erect a factory here. It is very little use settlers complaining of " bad times " unless they are prepared individually and collectively to put their " shoulders to the wheel " and do something to better themselves. The directors have every confidence therefore in recommending the project to the public. The company will purchase milk from shareholders only. In the event of more milk being offered than can be dealt with by the factory, the amount of milk taken from each contributor 4 will be in proportion to the nUmber of shares held by him. The site that has been obtained is at the corner of the Manaia atld Normanby roads. In the event of more snares being applied for than can be allotted, milk suppliers tvill have the option of having their shares allotted in full if they so desire it. The directors guarantee that the whole of the deposit money will be returned in the event of the Company not being floated. The share list Will close on tbe 31st May,
