"• Sir Robert Bruce was bred by Mr. Wm. Craig, out of Daisy, by &r William Wallace. As a three-year-old he took second prize in Wanganui ; Ist and champion, 1881 ; Ist and champion, 1882 ; and lßt and champion in 1883 ; thus proving himself the best horse in the Wanganui district, Maggie was bred by Mr. Sutherland, Taieri, Otago, out of a mare by Napoleon, by Sir William Wallace (imported) ; Napoleon, imported by Mr. JohnNimmo, Taieri ; so that the combination of the Napoleon and Wallace bloods makes Maggie one of the purest Clydesdale's in New Zealand. Maggie is also dam of Mr. Clark's mare, the champion of all the principal shows of the South Island in 1881.

Terms— £3 8s for single mares; I two or more, as per agreement, payable on or before the Ist January, which is the end of the season.
