A PECULIAR AFFAIR.
Received 27/12, 11.13 a.m. LONDON, December 2G.
A serious affray occurred last night at Canterbury, arising out of ill-feeling existing between men of the 2nd Dragoon Guards and Gth Dragoons. Fully two hundred troops of these regiments took part in the disturbance, which lasted for some time. The fighting on both sides was severe, and many of the combatants suffered serious injuries.
