CHRISTMAS EVE.
There wore not so many decorations iv Hawera on Christmas eve as we had been led to believe ; but, judging from the appearance of the shops, probably more business was done than on any previous occasion, and wo risk the assumption that business people were perfectly satisfied with the Christmas trade.
