THE HAWERA & NORMANBY STAR IS ISSUED EVERY AFTERNOON, at the price of The Star is supplied efficiently with cable news from Europe, America, and Australia ; and telegrams from every part of New Zealand up to the hour of going to press. Special correspondents of the Star are located at Normanby, Opunake, Patea, Ngaire, Stratford, and other points of settlement. Especial attention is paid to securing the latest shipping intelligence from the various ports in which the district is interested. Full and accurate accounts are published of the proceedings of the R.M. Court, County Council, Borough Council, Town and Road Boards, School Committees, &c. The Star contains ALL THE NEWS of the district. An early edition is published to catch i the train and Opunake coach, and therefore subscribers who live in townships and settlements along the lines of route get the news of the day early. Mounted messengers deliver the paper on the night of publication in the principal centres of population in the district. As an advertising medium, the Star i offers special advantages. The circulation is nearly 1,000 COPIES DAILY, so that advertisements receive the fullest publicity, while the charges are reasonable. Intending subscribers will oblige by sending their names to the nearest agent or to this office direct. ~|V"OTICE TO ADVERTISERS AND SUBSCRIBERS. MR. C. H. BOWMAN is authorised to collect moneys due to the late firm of Armit, Innes & Co., and to make all necessary arrangements with Advertisers and Subscribers, on behalf of the HAWERA AND NORMANBY STAR, as hitherto.
