T)IRATE AND COCKSURE. The above two splendid horses have been removed to AVallis' Commercial Hotel. Good grass paddock. OSS A. ELLIOTT. Jj& \ mo STAND y*^jw^?lVj^&»/ JL this Season, \3sß»ss-- ok Opunake, and New Thorough-bred Horse, M U F T I , The attention of breeders is solicited to the pedigi'ee of this most fashionably bred horse, who is now in his prime and in splendid condition. "Mufti" (Class A, Stud Book) is by the premier stallion, Traducor, who has for the last three seasons stood at 100 guineas a mare. Traduccr's stock have everywhere performed creditably, and include such noted animals as Lurline, Calumny, Le Loup, Betrayer, Trump Card, Fish-hook and others. Traducer's pedigree is a very brilliant one, as it includes all the most valued strains of the English stud for the last century. On the dam's side Mufti is also remarkably well connected, being out of Flat Iron by Peter Flat— Emma by Gil Bias — Emily by Operator — Flora Mclvor by Rouse's Emigrant, &c. Peter Flat was one of the most successful performers that has left England, and possesses a splendid pedigvee. [See Stud Book.] Flora Mclvor was one of the best mares ever foaled in Australia, and her descendants are always eagerly sought after by breeders and racing men. Flora Mclvor was the grand dam of Figaro, Bay Middleton, Cossack, Nutwitfi, Zoe, and Waimca — the latter being the dam of Manuka, Toi Toi, and others. Toi Toi is the dam of KaJcapo Harakeke — dam of Korari, Totam — sire of Longlands, Papapa, Rama Rama, and other well known performers. It will thus be seen that Mufti is well worthy the patronage of breeders who wish to keep to racing strains. Mufti is a golden chestnut, standing 15 bands 3 inches high, and is splendidly proportioned, and of excellent constitution. Mufti's racing performances are too well knoym to require any reierence here. Mufti will travel between HAWERA AND OPUNAKE.
