(per united press association.) INVERCARGILL, This Day. The Supreme Court sits to-day before Mr. Justice Williams. The criminal calendar is light, but the civil business unusually heavy. There are two actions for libel for £'400 and i-500, the latter by Dr. Lewis against the Southland Times newspaper company. He claims damages for the publication of a letter in which was expressed the opinion that a patient in. the hospital would have recovered undor proper medical treatment. , The case is to be heard before a special jury.
