CHRISTCHUECH, This Day.

The executive committee of the Kailway League met last evening, and decided to raise a subscription to defray expenses. A report on the whole question of the East and "West Coast routes was drawn up for presentation to the Commission. A long resolution was also passed expressive of disappointment at the inability of the Commission to take the West Coast line into consider tion, and asking the Government to either appoint a new commission or extend the scope of the present one.
