Craig, AVaiora ; is out of Flower, sire Renfrew Jock, foaled 27th November, 1878 ; is a nice dappled brown with two white feet; stands 16J hands high; has immense bone, of good quality, and plenty of hair ; is very compactly built, and a promising young horse ; and took first prize as a 3-year-old at last Wanganui show. Eenfrew Jock (imported from Victoria) is by old Eenfrew (imported from Scotland) ; has taken a great many first prizes at Oamaru, Timaru> and Dunedin, and is a famous sire in their district. Flower is out of Flower 2nd, by Comet ; bred by the late J. Nimmo, Esq., of Taieri ; out o£ his imported mare Jean, by Marquis. Certuinty is by II Barbiere, her dam Chance by Sir Hercules, out of Finesse by Toss out of Flirt by Mariner (Arab). Towton (own brother to The Peer), in England, 1850 ; got by Melbourne out of Cinzelli by Touchstone, Brocade by Pantaloon. Cinzelli the winner of the Two Thousand Guineas, and dam by Towton, The Peer, and Marquis. Cocksure is rising 8 years old ; as a 3-year-old he won the Hutt Park Stakes and Auckland Handicap, aud was winning the Auckland Cup easy when he ran off the course, and was never raced afterwards.
