As there appears to be some doubt as to which roads have been declared main roads, we re-publish the list : —
HAWEKA COUNTY.
Stratford to Opunake (pnrtof ), 14 miles ; Stratford to Eltham, 12 miles; Eltbam, via Boylan road, to Normanby and Hawera, and to Patea county, 16 miles; Eltham to Opunake, 17 miles; Hawera to Opunake, via coast, 22 miles; Normnnby, via continuous reserve, to Manaia, 9 miles; Manaia, northward, to Eltbain road, 18 miles.
TABANAKI COUNTY.
Pukearuhe to New Plymouth, 34 miles; New Plymouth to Taungatara liver, via coast, 46 miles ; Waitara to Stratford, 25 miles ; Inglewood to New Plymouth, 12 miles ; Opunake to Stratford (part of), 10 miles ; Opunake to Eltham (part of), 4 miles ; Stratford, eastwards, towards Waitara river, 20 miles ; Tariki railway station, eastwards, 15 miles.
PATEA COUNTY.
Coaob road through county from Waitotara river to Manawapou river, 27 miles.
