"Mufti" (Class A, Stud Book) is by the premier stallion, Traduccr, who has for the last three seasons stood at 100 guineas a mare. Traducer's stock have everywhere performed creditably, and include such noted animals as Jjiirline, Calumny, Le Loup, Betrayer, Trump Card, Fish-hook and others. Traducer's pedigree is a very brilliant one, as it includes all the most valued strains of the English stud for the last century. On the dam'a side Mufti is also remarkably well connected, being out of Flat Iron by Peter Flat — Emma by Gil Bias — Emily by Operator — Flora Mclvor by Mouse's Emigrant, &c. Peter Flat was one of the most successful performers that has left England, and possesses a splendid pedigree. [See Stud Book.] Flora Mclvor was one of the best mares ever foaled in Australia, and her descendants are always eagerly sought after by breeders and racing men. Flora Mclvor was the grand dam of Figaro, Bay Middleton, Cossarh, Kutwith, Zoe, and Waimctt — the latter being the dam of Manuka, Toi Toi, aud others. Toi Toi is the dam of Kakapo HarakeJce — dam of Korari, Totara — sire of Longlands, Papapa, Rama Rama, and other well known performers. It will thus be seen that Mufti is well worthy the patronage of breeders who wish to keep to racing strains. Mufti is a golden chestnut, standing 15 hands 3 inches high, ana is splendidly proportioned, and of excellent constitution. Mufti's racing performances are too well known to require any reference here. Mufti will travel between HAWERA AND OPUNAKE. Leave Mauaia, Monday morning ; visit Okaiawa and Normauby; arriving at Hawera in evening. Leave Hawera, Wednesday morning, for Manaia. Leave Manaia, Thursday, midday, for Opunake. Leave Opunake midday, on return to Manaia, on Saturday. Terms— £4, Single Marcs; a liberal allowance for more than one mare. Newland's Hambletonian is a bay stallion, 16 hauds, got by Whipple's Speculation, by Eys dyke's Hainbletoniau ; dam Martha Washington by Burr's Washington by Napoleon ; dam by Abdallah, first dam Mamie by Joseph ; Gr. D. Young's Diana by Eastou's David Hill ; G.G.D. Diana by Vermont Hambletonian. Joseph was sired by Hermes out of Patsy Anthony, by Priam (imp.), Hermes by Mariner out of Fashion, she by Trustee (imp.)— sire of John Nelson — out of Bonnets of Blue. It will be seen from the above that Newland's Hambletonian is of the very richest trotting blood in the United States. The following is a copy of a certificate granted by- ; the notary public :— " Oakland, U.S., September 22, 1880. This is to certify that we have seen Newland's Hambletonian trot miles out in two minutes and thirty seconds, and quarters at a two twenty-eight gait ; William Johnston, J. A. Kelly, D. J.
