BRODIE. - jdSJ" >^ rpo STAND 3, i<fflß^^j)ly -*- s Season, J^^M|| Opunake, and New . a the „ Thorough-bred Horse, m MUFTI, }' The attention of breeders is solicited to the pedigree of this most fashionably ~ bred horse, who is now in his prime and in splendid condition. R "Mufti" (Class A, Stud Book) is by the premier stallion, Traducer, who has for the last three seasons stood at 100 guineas a mare. Traducer's stock have everywhere performed creditably, and include such noted animals as r3r 3 Lurline, Calumny, Le Loup, Betrayer, - Trump Card, Fish-hook and others. Traducer y s pedigree is a very brilliant one, as it includes all the most valued strains of the English stud for the last century. On the dam's side Mufti is j also remarkably well connected, being out of Flat Iron by Peter Flat— Emma by Gril Bias— Emily by Operator— Flora |8 Mclvor Dy Rouse's Emigrant, &c. j Peter Flat was one of the most successful performers that 'has left L , England, and possesses a splendid ,» pedigree. [See Stud Book.] Flora ■j. Mclvw was one of the best mares ever Q foaled in Australia, and her descendants j are always eagerly sought after by \ breeders and racing men. Flora Mclvor 5 | was the grand dam of Figaro, Bay £ Middleton, Cossack, Nutwith, Zoe,~ua.A j! Waimea — the latter being the dam of Manuka, Toi Toi, and others. Toi Toi is the dam of Kakapo Harakeke — dam of Korari, Totara — sire of Longlandt,^ Papapa, Rama Rama, and other well* known performers. It will thus be Been that Mufti is well worthy the patronage of breeders who wish to keep to racing strains. « _, Mufti is a golden chestnut, standing 15 - hands 3 inches high, and iB splendidly proportioned, and of excellent constitu1 tion. Mufti's racing performances are' too well known to require any reference 2 here. * Mufti will travel between Patea, Opunake, and New Plymouth. 1 Teems— Single Mares, £6 6s.
