LATEST PROM SEAT OF WAR.
ALEXANDRIA, August 27. Since the attack upon Bamese aud the occupation of the position by the British troops, no futher military movement has been made by Sir Garnet Wolsley. A large force of the enemy is still at Kafradowar, where the work of entrenching ie being vigorously proceeded with. News has been received from Port Said that the Arabs at Ghemeleh have been largely reinforced, and it is expect* 1. that they intend to make an attack on the port. Several more of the officers of Arabi's army have deserted, and the enemy's ranks are daily becoming weaker. Later. All is quiet in front of Sir Garnet Wolseley'a position at Eamses, and nothiug has been seen of the enemy since the recent engagement. The British cavalry on Saturday occupied Bassassoinia Lake, on the Bweet water canal between Cairo and Ismailia.
