THE DEPUTATION AT WELLINGTON.
|By Telegraph. I WELLINGTON, This Day. The deputation U still at work with the Ministers, having had three interviews yesterday and another this morning. The matters brought under notice yesterday were applications for more suitable premises for the Post and Telegraph Office, daily delivery of letters, an extra train on Saturdays as far as Stratfoad, the making of Boylan road, and Normanby and Manaia road, offices for Receiver of Land Revenue and West Coast Commissioner, reservation of Lake Roto Kari for a water supply for the borough, and extension of time for making up the burgess roll. The various Ministers seemed impressed favorably by the claims made, and there is little doubt that most, if not all, of the requests, will be granted. By to-morrow final answers will probably be obtained. There is a meeting of the Trust Fund Commissioners to-morrow, whenHawera's application, that of its loan, may be taken up at 6 per cent., will be considered. The deputation hope to get away home in a day or two.
