The Lyttelton has not yet arrived, being detained in Wanganui. It may be as well to coiitra-liul n prevalent opinion that she was chartered by tho Patea S.S. Co., which is incorrect, the Company not considering -she was suitable. She is sent here by her owners, on spec while the Wakatu was laid up, and, althongh the Wakatu has been for one trip nnd will V>o hero again to-morrow, the lo Helton lias not yet. arrived. The Clyde ia expect*!, together with the Wakatu and Lyttelton, to-morrow morning. This Dny.
The stoamer W-.ikatu arrived from Wellington at 9 this morning. Sho leaves for Nelson via Wellington, returning by way of Wnngnnui. The Lyttelton and Clyde are unable to get up.
