HAWERA GAS COMPANY.
Tbe above company issues its prospectus in another column, and judging by what has been already done and the support the movement has received here, it starts under most favorable auspices. Messrs. Berry and Newman, the well known contractors, have made a liberal offer to the promoters, and have given very practical proof of their faith in the success of the undertaking. The list of name 3 on tbe provisional directorate shows how fully the leading gentlemen in the borough and district recognise that there is a want felt for a general system of lighting, which they hope to be able to supply.
