Hack Hurdle Race, of 10 soys. ; entrance, 1 soy. ; post enti'y ; one mile and a distance ; weights not less than lOsfe. For all horses that have never won an advertised race, hack races excepted. To start at 12 o'clock. 3. Flying Handicap, of 30 soys. ; % mile; nomination, 1 soy. ; acceptance, 2 soys. Winner of any handicap of the value of 30 soys. or more after declaration of weights to carry 51b. extra. To start at I'J.3U o'clock. 4. Hack Race, of 7 soys.; distance, about 1 mile; entrance, 1 soy. Post entry. For all horses that have never won an advertised race, hack races excepted. To start at 1.15 o'clock. 5. Egmont Handicap, of 100 soys. ; second horse to receive 20 soys. from the stakes ; nomination, 2 soys. ; acceptance, 4 soys. ; distance, 2 miles. Winner of any handicap of the value of 100 boys. or more after declaration of weights to carry 51b. exl ia. To start at 2 o'clock. 6. Railway Plate, of 30 soys.; H miles; weight for age; entrance, 2 soys, To start at 3 o'clock. 7. District Race Handicap, of 40 soys. ; distance, 2 miles ; nomination, 1 soy. ; acceptance, 2 soys. Open to all horses owned for six months prior to time of entry by hond fide residents who have been living between the White Cliffs and the Manawatu River for that time. Winner of Egmont Handicap to carry 51b. extra. To start at 4p m. 8. Consolation Stakes Handicap, of 20 soys. ; for all beaten horses ; 1 mile and a distance; nomination. 1 soy. ; acceptance, 1 soy. To start at 4.45 o'clock. RULES. No entry will be received for any races except upon this condH ion —that all disputes, claims, and objections arising out of the racing shall be decided by a majority of the Stewards present, or those whom they may appoint. Their decision upon all points connected ; with the carrying out of this programme shall be final. All entries to be sealed and addressed to the Hon. Secretary, Hawera, entrance money enclosed, with the name age at time of entry, pedigree, and, in case of handicaps, performances of the horse, name of the owner, and colors of the rider. Any jockey riding except in the colors entered will be fined 3 soys. When two or more horses start, the property of the same owner, a distinguishing color must be worn. Any person neglecting or refusing to comply with this rule shall pay a fine of 2 soys. to the race fund. All races to be run under the W.J.C. Rules. Horses walking over will only receive half the stakes. Qualification Fee for Non-members, £1. No other nominations will be received under any pretence whatever after the time specifiedjfor closing. Letters bearing the postmark of the date of entry, and telegrams of the tame date, will be received. All persons intending to withdraw horses, are required to give notice to that effect to the Secretary or Clerk of tho Scales one half-hour before starting. Any person neglecting or lefusing to comply with this i - ule, shall pay a fine of 5 aovs. to the race fund. The second horse saves his stakes in all races, except otherwise stated. Nominations for the Handicap Hurdles, Flying Handicap, Egmont Handicap, and District Race Handicap, will close at the Hon. Secretary's Office, HAWERA, on 6th March, at 9 p.m. Weights declared on 13th March. Acceptances and general entries will close on 18th March, at the Hon.
