New Zealand wheat, ex warehouse, 525. 6d.
Adelaide flour, ex store, 41s. 6d.
Australian tallow — Best beef, 38s. 6d. ; best mutton, 4ls. 6d. At the wool sale on the Bth, a firm and active demand was experienced. The catalogue comprised 8,300 bales. A grand and impressive ceremony was performed at St. Peter's, the occasion being the canonization of four eminent deceased members of the Church, of Rome. The rites of canonization were performed by Pope Leo, and the proceedings were marked with great splendour and brilliancy. His Holiness, whose health for a long time past has been most unsatisfactory, continues in a very feeble state, and waa only able with difficulty to take part in the day's proceedings.
