Hayjuarlcfet Yards.— Young pigs were not ■&b brisk as last sales, bringing 5s to 6s 6d; 1 sow, L 2; 1 {pony, L 3 15s ; 1 Bedouin mare, L 4 ssi 1 mare, L 3, L 3 15s, L6 lss j spring trap, L2l. Cattle.— At my fortnightly sales, at the Waiwakaiho on Thursday, I had a fair muster of cattle, and a good attendance of buyers. Bidding was very active, and younff s Jock broug-tfc very high prices. Cows were higher than last sale, but are still low. Bullocks are unsaleable. Some wether hoggets in the wool made 13s 3d. Calves, LI 6s to Ll 18s ; yearlings, L 2 8s to L 2 15s; 18-months, L 3 to L 3 10s; 2-year-oM steers, L 4; 3-year-olds, Lo ss; 18-monthß heifers, L3 lss ; cows and calves, L 4 10s ; cows, springing, ~LA 12s 6d to Zis 2a6dj hatters, springing, from LSto L 5; Btore cows, LS ; 6 fat cows, L 6 2s 6d ; 26 hoggets, 13s 3d. Store cows were wanted for this sale, and will probably sell well .next sale.
Mr. Alfred Auckland's Report. (united press association.) Auckland, Saturday. "®ttitß MfeUe Ja lull numbers, and ah late Talueß. Fat cattle, short supply. Prices at opening of sale were lower than hitherto, from 18s for cows to 21s for good steers. Prices advanced at close of sale to 24s per lOOltts. Store sheep were numerous, but of indifferent quality, bidding brisk ; shorn cross-bred ewes, with lambs, in low condition, mixed sizes, 14s couple. Sheep in . moderate number sustained last week's * values — shorn wethers, 14s to 18s 6d each ; fat lambs plentiful, without alteration in • jirice — best pens. 10s 6cl to 13s each.
Mr. R. E. Mcßue's Stock Repwt. Manaia, Saturday.
Mr. E. E. Mcßae reports having sold by auction, per VV. Cowern, at the Manaia sale yards, Waimate Plains, on the 2nd inst., 295 head cattle, 345 sbeep, horses, nod sundries. Store bullocks, 2to 3-year-old, 1A 2a 6d to L 4 17s 6d ; 18-months and upwards, L 3 7s 6d to L 3 12s 6d; mixed yearlings, L 2 12s 6d to L 2 16s ; calves, up to 9-months, L 2 3s 6d; cows and calves, 'LI 10s and upwards ; milkers, L 5 10s to L 7 ss, 1 bull, Carlo by Carlo, dam imported from Sydney, L2O; yearling bull by Duke of Edinburgh, L 6 15s. Sheep — -4 to 6-tooth, light weights and breeds, in "wool, principally ewps, 119. Trap home, Ll9 2s 6d. Hacks nominal. The day was an unusually wet one, which militated somewhat against the sale ; about 70 head cattle were turned out unsold.
