MOODY'S LETTER.

TO THE EDITOR OF THE STAB.

Sic, — I have perused a letter in the Stab Supplement of the 30th November, signed. " Moody ;" and it appears to be a reply to a letter in a previons issue signed "Observer," and 11 Moody's " letter is worded in such a way, that he knows that people who read it will point me out as the writer of the letter signed "Observer," owing to some polite attention I received from Father Evan, for giving ten pounds to pay off the debt of some church property, instead of giving it to him. Now, I assure "Moody," that I know nothing about the letter signed " Observer," I would not write a letter like it, therefore his whole rigmarole about bishops and priests, and interfering with their duties, is all nowsfense, as far as I am wya&BYited. I vnil give u Moo3y" credit for thinking I was " Observer," otherwise this reply would not have been of so mild a description. I will remind " Moody" that two priests of which he speaks tried to brand me, but the result was that one was silenced for life ; the other is probably sorting scalps &rot>ngsi ihß JiiAians, he nearly h&A mine off before he left. I shall tell " Moody" that I never had any disputes with a bishop in my life. If " Moody" calls on me I shall show him some of Dr. Moran's letters. — I am,
