TO THE EDITOR OP THE STAB. glß|_Wheng IB|_When "Citizen" attacked me publicly with so much spirit aud decency under the mask of a norn de plume, it was perhaps pardonable to unmask his falsehood. lam not so fond of notoriety as to enter into conflict with every shadow. I admit the right of " Citizen" to a disguised name " Voter " and " Old Identity" have in fair play no claim to the same privilege. If these gentlemen chose ho enber bhe conbesb they might have done) bo on level terms. They seem, to have forgotten that a just cause reflects no disoredit on a fair name. When they are generous enough to "give the weight of their real signatures to their opinions, I shall be happy to reply to them.—l am, &c, C. H. McCutchan.
