THE NORMANBY MEETING.

TO THE EDITOR OF THE BTA.R, Sir, — I Lear one gentleman is very wroth because a few Hawera friends attended Major Atkinson's meeting on Saturday. I would point out that they took no part in the meeting, and did not attempt to influence the electors in any way; in short, I think our Normanby friends have wills of their own, and do not mean to be led by the nose by Mr. Quin. Note also that at the Hawera meeting called by Mr. Hutchison, Mr. Quin not only attended, but had the very bad taste to stand up and propose a vote of confidence in Mr. Hutchison. Such rashness will not enhance Mr. Hutchison's chances. — I am, &c, Mountain Boad.
