Mr. Hamerton gave notice that he would appeal to the Minister of Justice on the subject. Our resident engineer, Mr. Hnnter, has I received instructions to leave for Hamilton in a fortnight's time. The whole community regret losing Mr. and Mrs. Hunter, who, during their short stay here, have made hosts of friends. Mr. Holmes, Mr. Hunter's successor, arrived yesterday from New Plymouth.
