INTERPROVINCIAL NEWS.
(per united press association.) WELLINGTON, Last Night. The remains of Mr. Moorhouse were conveyed on board the Stella this afternoon. The funeral was largely attended, including members of both Houses of the Legislature, and the principal citizens of Wellington. The Wellington Artillery Corps, of which deceased was formerly captain, also mustered strongly. The steamer sailed for Lyttelton at 3.30. Mr. Fitzgerald, Auditor and ControllerGeneral, was a passenger by the Stella, having bceu deputed by the Speaker and Premier to l'epresent the Legislature at the funeral at Christchurch. All the passengers and crew of the Wakatipu have been admitted to pratique. Edward Stafford, solicitoi*, announces his intention of contesting one of the Wellington electorates at the forthcoming election. DUNEDIN, Last Night. The Licensed Victuallers' Association on Wednesday telegraphed to the Hon. Mr. Dick, and other members of the Con. ference on the Licensing Bill, covering a resolution condemning the Bill, and giving reasons for its being allowed to stand over till next Parliament. WAITARA, Thursday. The Tui is still ashore at Waitara. She has sustained further clanaage from rolling on Cue heaoh, &nA is now moved tO WltluU her length of smooth water. Owners of good 3on board have had a salvage notice served on them.
