AUCKLAND MARKETS.
Messrs. Hunter and Nolan's Report. (FROM OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT.) Auckland, Last Night. Horses. — There has been no noteworthy alteration in the market. About an average number were yarded. We quote hacks at JB6 to £14. 15s ; light harness, £13 to £20 15s ; draught, £32. Cattle. — The market has been characterised by activity, and about an average number have changed hands at prices showing an advance on the previous week's rates. A large number of stores were yarded at Papokura on Wednesday, and sold at fair prices. A draught of prime oxen from Napier were well competed for, showing an advance on last week's quotations. For fat stock we quote — Dairy cows, £7 15s to JS10; dairy cows, JE3 15s to M 10s; calves, 28s to 48s ; yearlings, £2 13s to £3. Two-year-old steers, £3 17s 6d to £5.
Sheep.— The yards were well filled ac Newmarket on Tuesday, and all were disposed of at an advance on last week's rates, 2s 8d per 81b being given for first-class wethers Pigs were in moderate supply.
