AUCKLAND MARKETS.

[Spxciallt Telegraphed to Stab.] Auckland, Last Night. Horses. — An improvement in the market, as compared with lost week, consequently several lots held over from the previous sale were disposed of at higher figures. Light hacks, £7 10s to £18; light harness, £14, to £&2 ; medium draught, £35. Cattle. — The market has been fairly supplied, and there has been little alteration , in value. The tone of the market was scarcely so firm for butcher's stock, but there was "no alteration in value for dairy and store stock. At Papakura on Wednesday there was a very large muster of stores, and we quote dairy cows at £8 7s 6d to £10 58; calves, £1 7s 6d tojß2 ss; yearlings, £2 to £3 2s 6d ; dry cows, £4, ss ; grown steers, £5 7s 6d to £5 155. Sheep. — The pens at Newmarket were well filled on Tuesday, and there was an advance of fully Is per head. * Wethers sold from 15s to 18s ; ewes, 13s to 15s. Pigs. — A moderate number were yarded, and prices were unaltered.
