TARANAKI. Mr. Newton King's Report. On Thursday I held my fortnightly sale at the Waiwakaiho yards, when cattle cam 9 forward freely, and sold off very well at the hammer. Calves sold easily at last week's quotations. Spring heifers and cows came forward rather too thickly, and showed a decline, although a good number were sold at fair rates. There were no grown steers yarded. Working bullocks rather dull. "4J very small calves, £1 2s ; good quality do, £1 10s to £1 178; yearlings, £2 to jeaiOs; 18-month-old heifers, £3 ; steers, £3 7s 6d ; two-year-old do, £1 % springing heifers, £6 and £5 10s ; 4do from £Z 15s to £5 ss ; heifer and calf, £5 15s ; 7 young store cows, £A 2s 6d ; 3 fat cows, £5 10s to £5 158 ; 5 store cows, £3 15s to £4 7s 6d ; 8 cows, in calf, £A to £5 10s ; 1 springing cow, £8 2s 6d; 3 do, L 7; 2 do, L6los; 1 pair bullocks, L 18;1 8; 1 filly, L 6.
