AUCKLAND MABKETS.
Messrs, Hunter and Nolan's Report.
(FROM OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT.) Auckland, Last Night. Horses. — There has been increased activity in the market, and for those of a good stamp there was an upward tendency. The Wanganui horses elicited keen competition. We quote: — Hacks, JB7 10s to JBI9 10s ; light harness horses, .£l3 15s to £21 ; medium draught, £18 10s to £26 155 ; draught, £35. Wool, Eides, and Skips.— There has been an increased vitality in the demand. Greasy wool sold at 7fd ; hides, 3|d ; skins, Is Id to 3s 4d ; tallow, 225. Cattle. — Thero has been an increased upward tendency in value ; particularly for fat beasts. Dairy and store stock were without material alteration in value. There was a perceptible rise in the price of fat beasts ; a shade over 30s per 100lb were freely given for top sorts. Sheep. — Scarcely sufficient for requirements, and the demand being brisk, prices ruled in favor of the vendor. Fat wethers sold from 14s 6d to 17s 6d.
Pigs. — Supply moi realised 3d per lb.
