AUSTRALIAN NEWS.
MELBOURNE, Yesterday.
The Hon. Mr. G. Berry has made a speech, in which he referred to the present position of the reform question. He spoke in somewhat guarded terms, "but stated that the Government would not accept the Council's amendments to the Bill. He further stated that he did not deem a dissolution of Parliament necessary in the present crisis. It is announced that the awards of the Exhibition Commissioners will be officially gazetted in a fortnight, and the medals will be issued in August next. ADELAIDE, Yesterday. The Royal Princes leave here on Monday next overland for Melbourne.
