PETITION OF NORMANBY SETTLERS.
The following is the petition of the Normanby settlers re the road deviation at the Normatiby Railway Station :—: — " Nonnanby,' May 25th, 1881.
11 Sir, — We herewith enclose a memo, from E. "W. Holmes re the deviation of the Keteraarae road. We do not object to the new road, but we protest against the deviation of the Ketemarae road, or to be charged with any costs for alterations that we may require. We refer the matter for your consideration, aud also to Public Works Act, 40, Victoria, No. 50., pages 244 and 245, clauses 133 and 134, wherein you will see that you should have been consulted before making the alterations. Trusting that you will at once attend to our interests, — We are, sir, your most obedient servants, William Stuart, P. H. Brett, Farq. Finlayson, Jas.
