v Messrs., Bauohope and King report: — On Thursday we held our fortnightly cattle •ale at the Waiwakaiho yards. Cattle came forward well, but rather too many old cows about. A good attendance of buyers; and most of the cattle moved off at, the hammer. Calves showed a decided improvement, and Bold well. Steers and •tore cows no buyers. Springers hi great request. The following prices -were obtained:—Bß calves, from £1 2s 6dtoJß2; 25 rather small yearlings, £2 2s to £2 15s ; 4 heifers, in calf; SA; 3 springing do, &h ss, 415 17s 6d, and JB6; 6 cowa, in milk, from £4 17s 6d to £7 ss ; 4 heifers, by " Townley Holmes," £7 ; 8 cows, £4 to £5 10s ; 2 poor do, jei 15s to JB2 2s 6d ; 3 bulls, £3, £2, and £15a; fat heifer, £4.
