WAIMATE BUSH LAND.
The following are the results of the sale of land thrown open on application at the Hawera and Patea Land Offices on Monday. There were seventeen sections unsold by auction at previous sales, which were dealt with as follows : — KAUPOKONUX SURVEY DISTRICT. Blook Sec. Acres. Price. XV. 2 101 0 0 £. ' Motions a, 4, 6, and 6, Block XV. ; and- sections . 16> 21» and 22, in Block X.VL, ace Btill, unsold. •■ " NGAIRE SURVEY DISTRICT. XIII. 88 200 110 0, "Wilson Milne, settler, Waverley. Also at Patea. *•*' XIII. 51 216 110 0 XIII. 62 820 110 0 Applied for at Patea. Sections 48 and 49 are still unapplied for. Altogether 1816 acres were taken up, and deposits, representing over £2000 worth of land, were lodged at the Hawera office. The sections for which there was more than one applicant will be put up to auction between the applicants. There was also one village section in Otakeho sold yesterday at Hawera. Most of the purchasers are new settlers in the district.
