Messrs. $auchope and King report: — We held our monthly sale at Waitara on Tuesday last. It was a miserably tret day, and to that we must attribute/ the small muster of cattle. We sold all' there were in the yard at the following rates : — 1 pair bullocks at 416 15s ; 2 store cows at 43 105; .1 heifer at 43 ; 4 calves at 41 11s.

Mr. Courtney reports: — At my cattle *al« «t Glenavon on Thursday last 105 head were* yarded, but as the rain set in about noon it kept both stock and buyers away. There were only five steers over 2-ysar-old yarded. The chief attraction seemed to be cows at calving or forward in calf, all of which sold at full rates. The prices realised were:— Small calves, 18s 6d to 28s 6d each ; good, well-grown, boss do, 84s; 1 pen 18« month-old steers, £2 15s ; 1 old cow, £1 16s; 8 small cows, £2 5s to ■42 17s 6d; 2 cows, with big calves, £6 16s; cow and calf, and 5 cows, at £A 2s 6d to X4 l7s 6d; 4 cows, £5 to £6 17s 6d ; good cows, showing for calving, £Q 6s, £6 7s 6d, M 16s, £1 6s, £1 7s 6d, £7 10s, £8 7s 6d, and £8 8s; 2 21-year- old steers, £4 15s ; 1 pair bullocks, L2O ; pony trap, with harness, L14 10s ; 1 horse, Ll.
