[Rktjter's Special to Star.] MELBOURNE, Yesterday. It is announced that Mr. Berry has arranged to delay the departure of tho Suez mail steamer next week, by 24 hours, in consequence of the mishap to. the Tararua, so that the New Zealand mails may, if possible, arrive in time to be sent on. An attempt was made to break into the Bank of Victoria, at Seymour, in the North Eastern District. The manager, however, came across the burglars, who were frightened off by his revolver. Wallace, the purser of the steamer India has been arrested at Wodonga ; and Wright, the captain, arrested last night at Melbourne, while in a state of intoxication. Six hundred and twenty-six sovereigns, and bills to the value of £7500, were found by the police at the hotel where the owner of the India was stopping at the time of his arrest. When the owner of the steamer India was arrested yesterday, arms and a log book criminating the vessel, were found in his possession.
