HAWERA MONTHLY SALE.

Hawera, Friday. Mr. Freeman It. Jackson reports: — The sale to-day was well attended by settlers. The bidding was very dull at the auction, all the pens being passed in. I sold all the Btock with the exception of two pens afterwards, at the following quotations: — Fat bullocks, £G 17s 6d; stores, M 10s and £6 10s; cows and calves, £4- 7s Gd; 18-months-old mixed stores, £2 7s 6d to £d ; heifers, £2■2 ■ mixed sheep, 10s. Nearly 500 head of cattle were yarded.
