Mr. Courtney reports :— At my cattle rale at Glenavon on Thursday, there were 140 head yarded, most of which were sold at fair prices, considering the time of year. For heifers, or cows forward in calf, there was a brisk competition, The bigger portion of the other stock sold, went after the auction. I sold 15 good quality calves at 38s 6d each ; 1 hand-fed do, 225 ; 3 yearling steers, £2 10s ; 3 store cows £3 2s 6d to £3 12s 6d; 11 quiet do do, £3 12s to £A; 1 pen (36) fair store cows, in calf, £3 10s ; 8 small fat cows, £4, 12s sd ; 1 heavy fat bullock, £71256 d; 9 hand-fed heifers, about 2}-years-old, £3 12s 6d to M 12s 6d ; 4 hand-fed 2-year-olds, £3 12s 6d; 2 cows, with calf at foot, £A 10s ; 3 good heifers, springing, realised J86 17s 6d, JB7 2s 6, and £7 7s 6d ; 1 small cow, £5 ss ; 6 good 18-month-old steers, £3 15s ; 3 small 2-year-olds, L4ss j 6 good 2-year-olds, L 4 12s 6d j 2 pair young working bullocks, Ll6 10s, and L 18; 20 small fat sheep, 9s 6d; 19 fair store sheep, 8s 6d|; 2 hacks L 3 5s each.
