Auckland, Last Night. Messrs. Hunter and Nolan report: — Horses — A limited number have changed hands, but there remains an unsatisfied demand for good backs and light harness horses. Cattle— The market has been characterised by activity, and a lnrge number were disposed of by auction. The Newmarket yards were well filled on Tuesday, as were also the Pukekohe yards on Wednesday, Dairy and store stock maintained last week's quotations. For beef, 30s per lOOlbs was reached for top sort. 140 head were sold to the trade. Sheep — The supply has been good ; no noteworthy alteration in lost week's quotations. Lambs — Very-few yarded. Pigs — An increase in the number, and sold well.
