LONDON, April 4.
The state of weakness to which Earl Beaconsfield has been reduced remains unaltered, and he can only obtain occasional sleep. The spasms from which his Lordship has been suffering have, however, subsided.
In the House of Commons Mr. Childers, Secretary of State for War, announced that it is intended to keep a British force of 12,000 troops permanently stationed in Natal, and the Transvaal.
Mr. Bradlaugh, owing to the action brought against him by Mr. Clarke, has resigned his seat for Northampton, but announces his intuition of seeking reelection.
NATAL, April 4.
Intelligence has been received frnm the Transvaal, stating that a number of Boers, who were prominent in the late rebellion and, are opposed to a peaceful settlement, have arrived, and have commenced the system of terrorism over those of their fellow-countrymen who have remained loyal, and refused to take up arms against the British.
