Messrs. Bauchope and King report : —

Pigs. — On Saturday we sold a consignment of Waimate pigs, but the bidding •was very flat, everyone showing a disinclination to purchase. They realised from '8b to 108 6d.

Cattle. — On Wednesday we held a clear-ing-out sale at Stratford, for Mr. Galvin, ■when there was a good attendance, and "things sold very well ; dairy cows bringing JBS 10s to JSS 15s ; small yearlings, £2 ss ; •calves, jei 9s to £2 7s; heifers in calf, £3 15s to £5 15s.

Mr. W. Courtney reports : — The largest muster of cattle I have ever had at the Inglewood yards and the best attendance, -was on Tuesday. I sold 30 head at good prices, as follows: — 8 calves at 32s to 37s (3d •each ; 1 do, at 30s j 11 head IG-months-old. m 16s to £2 17s Cd; 5 good 24-year-ld steers, £4 15s; 3 store cows, L 3 17s 6d, X 4 4s, and L 5 10s ; yearling heifers, L 2 7s '6d ; 1 young bull, L 4 15s ; pair bullocks, yokes, and bows, L2l ; 8 small young pigs, •6s 6d ; 3 6-month old do, 17s each.

At Glenavon on Thursday the attendance ■was unusually small, and consequently bidding was very dull, the chief buyers being at the big Wanganui sale. 3 very email calves fetched 22s each ; 4 good do, ■355 ; 4 big H-year-old heifers, L 4; 2do do, L 3 17s 6d; 1 heifer in calf, L 4 15s ; 1 Bpringer, L 7 10s ; 4 store cows, L3to L 4 ■6b ; 3 young cows, in calf, L 4 5s to L4 lss; 18 old ewes, 7s 6d ; 1 ram, 40s ; 2 saddle hocks, L 9 and L 6.
