THE RUATANGATA SALE.

The great sale of cattle, horses, sheep, and farm, implements, at Messrs Owen and Lethbridge's Ruatangata estate, corameiiced yesterday, the cattle being first submitted to the hammer. There was a very large attendance, and the competition for the various lots was brisk ; so much so that instead of getting all the cattle disposed of in one day, as was anticipated, a large number remained to be put up at the close of the day's sile. These will be sold to-day, the sale commencing at 11 o'clock. The arrangements for the convenience of those present were very good, seats having been erected in such a manner that a good view of the animals under the hammer could be obtained.
