TARANAKI LAND BOARD.

(FKOM OTTB OWN COBEESPOITDENT.) . New Plymouth, Last Night. At the meeting of the Land Board yesterday, the Secretary was requested to notify to holders of land on deferred payment who had not paid their instaU ments, to show cause why the land should not be forfeited to the Crown. A communication was received from the Ngaire Road Board, asking what steps were necessary for having linkages of sections in the Ngaire district placed on the map of the Road Board. The Board was instructed to apply to the Survey Office for the information, and to forward a list of 'sections.
An application was also made by the Boad Board, requesting the Land Board to assist in procuring the setting apart of a village reserve at . the Patea River, near the junction of the main East road and Bird road, but the Land Board de> clined to take any steps in the matter.
Joseph Richardson, applied to the Board for assistance in making the road from Opunake to Hawera, near the land in his occupation. The Secretary was instructed to reply that the road was in course of formation by the Government.
