Carlyle, Last Night. On entering the harbor, the Wild Wave •was badly bundled, and went ashore. By mistake, the captain steered outside one of the guiding bnoys. Mr. Freeman R, Jackson reports : — The yards were filled with stock of all doscriptiohs to-day. Bidding was rather dull, and prices for cattle a shade lower than at the last sale, All were sold at, or after the auction, with the exception of one pen of Bteers. Prices for sheep were good ; all being sold except a pen of Merino wethers. Cattle — 366 head were yarded. Grown bullocks, £o Ids; fat do, £7 2s 6d; fat cows, £o 153 j stores, jG3 12s Gd ; cows and calves, £1 12s Gd; yearlings, £2 7s ; 18-xnonths-old, £3. I Sheep — 1520 were penned; wethers, 9s 6d j ewes, 7s Cd ; Merino wethers, 7s. AUCKLAND CATTLE MARKET. [Specially Tklkguaphed to Stab.] (PKB UNITED 7SSBS ASSOCIATION.) Auckland, Last Night. Mr. Alfred Buckland reports : — Store 'Cattle were numerous, but scarcely any enquiry, except at low values, and a large number were withdrawn. Fat cattle were in full supply. Several buyers from Coromandel and the const were present, and prices rallied fully 2s 6d per 1001b upon last week's prices, whilst inferior cattle remained at 20s; good quality, steady at from 24s to 26s per 1001b. Sheep were in moderate supply, but scarcely maintained lost week's values ; lambs short of requirements; and at improved prices, fair quality varying from 10s to 13s each. PATEA S.S. COMPANY.
