During the month of FEBRUARY, 29,700 ACRES of First-class AGRICULTURAL BUSH LAND, situate in the Forty-mile Bush and in the Manawatu District, will be OPFEEED FOR SALE on Deferred Payments and for Cash. In the Pahiatua Block, Forty-mile Bush, 25 Sections can be applied for on deferred payments, at the Public Hall, Masterton, and at the Land Office, Wellington, on Tuesday, the Bth February. On Thursday, the 10th of February, 61 Sections will be offered at public auction in the Public Hall, Masterton. On Monday, February, the 21st, 29 Sections in the Kairanga and Fitzherbert Blocks, can be applied for on deferred payments, at the Town Hall, Palmerston, and at the Land Office, Wellington. On Thursday, February 24th, at 11 o'clock a.m., 80 Sections, in the Kairanga and Fitzherbert Blocks, will be offered for sale by public auction, in the Town Hall, Palmerston. Terms : Deferred Payments. — When the same Section is applied for by two or more persons, the Section will be put up to auction between the applicants at 10 o'clock a.m., at Masterton Public Hall, on Thursday, the 10th February, for the Forty-mile Bush Sections, and. at Palmerston, on Thursday, February 24th, at 10 o'clock a.m., for the Kairanga and Fitzherbert Sections. One-twentieth of the purchase-money to be paid with the application, the balance in half-yearly instahnents extending over ten years. Cash Payments. — 25 per cent, payable on the fall of the hammer, the balance in one month. Maps, Schedules of Sections, and upset price can be seen at the office of this paper, and will be forwarded from the Crown Lands Office, Wellington, on application. An officer of the Survey Staff will be in the neighborhood one week previous to each sale to point out the Sections to intending purchasers. Note. — These Sections include a large extent of level and undulating land, well watered, rich, deep soil, and most of the Sections have a frontage to main or district roads. JOS. G. Public Works Office, Wellington. 20th January, 1881. WRITTEN TENDERS will be received at this Office up to noon on WEDNESDAY, the 9th February, 1881, for the above contract. They must be addressed to the Hon. Minister for Public Works, Wellington, and marked outside " Tender for Normanby-Hawera Station Buildings Contract." Plans and specifications may be seen at the Pi'blic Works Offices, New Plymouth, Carlyle, Wanganui, and Wellington, the Telegraph Office, Normanby, and at the Post Office, Hawera. Telegraphic tenders, similarly addressed and marked, will be received if presented at any Telegraphic Office by noon of the same date, provided that written tenders in due form are lodged at a District or Resident Engineer's Office by the same hour, and accompanied by a cheque on some bank in the town where the tender is lodged; such cheque to be specially marked by a banker as good for twentyone days, and to be in favor of the Receiver-General's Deposit Account only, and not to bearer or order.
