HAWERA TOWN BOARD.
TO THE EDITOR OF THE STAR. Sir, — I hear that at last we are to have a municipal contest. Five days before the day of nomination a gentleman is nominated, and rumor says that there are to be two other candidates for the vacant seat. Whence this sudden enthusiasm? Whence this exhibition of patriotism ? But a few more months or weeks, and the Board will cease to be. — I am, &c. Quiz.
